This quote reminds me of my mother as she was strong and never gave up on life. There were many days when she was bedridden and had to take it easy, but she never gave up on life. I remember one day she came to visit me after an operation. She said, “I cannot lie down in my bed, I have to be here,” referring to her home with her husband.

The next day she said, “I cannot lie down in my grave, I may be elsewhere.” It seemed that she was referring to heaven or paradise after death. This quote has reminded me of the deep rootedness of love for my mother.
