About This Quote

I am glad I have lived through the times in my life when I had to make decisions about people’s survival. When I do have to make that kind of decision, I am glad that I don’t have to make that call every day. It takes a lot of trust in people to leave them in charge when you know they can’t be trusted. When someone is doing something that might get them killed, you cannot rely on their skill, experience or even basic common sense.

That is why I am so glad that I did not have to make any of those calls. If I did, I would be dead by now.
