You can memorize a poem or a quote. You can even memorize a card trick. But, the reality is that no matter how much you remember, nothing will actually change. I have been trying for years to memorize the poem “A Visit from St.

Nicholas” by Robert L. Mayberry and I still can’t do it. I don’t know why, but I just can’t remember it.

Almost all of my friends have tried to memorize the poem as well and they still can’t do it either. Unfortunately, what these people fail to realize is that even if we could memorize a whole play or a book full of quotes, nothing would change in our lives. The world is not going to fall apart because someone else has memorized a poem or a quote, and it will not make us any happier if we can recite them back to our loved ones.
