The word hero actually comes from the Greek ἥρως meaning “valor” or “courage.” According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, a hero is "a person who performs an exploit greater than ordinary." Heroes are people who do something exceptional and amazing. It may be something as small as helping a stranger in need or it may be something as big as saving a life. A hero is someone who puts themselves in harm's way and sacrifices themselves for the sake of others. They don't fear failure because they know that if they fail, they're there to pick up the pieces and try again.
