About This Quote

This is the first time I've ever heard this quote. It's actually an adaptation of a line from William Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night." But it's very appropriate here, because the character of Lady Macbeth is speaking about how horrible it is to be afraid of the worst that could happen. She would rather be able to say that her worst fear has already come to pass, than to be able to say, "This is the worst."
