Seth’s first quote is about how the Indian witch doctor, “Devil” Daniel, managed to bewitch an entire village. He had managed to get them all to believe that he was the devil. Many of the villagers even believed that they were dead and had descended into Hell. It is because of this belief that they were willing to sell their souls to him without a second thought.

When we think we have lost everything and it seems impossible to ever recover, we tend to give up and accept defeat. However, the truth is that there is always hope and there is always a way back. That is why Seth believes that God himself was present at Daniel’s funeral pyre.

He made the fire burn so fiercely that there was nothing left of Daniel but ashes and bone. But even though Daniel was gone, he would never be forgotten by those who loved him.
