The world is constantly changing. We have a tendency to focus on the immediate and short-term, instead of the long-term. We don't remember how life used to be a few years ago. But, we do know that it will be different tomorrow, which gives us reason to be fearful of the future.

As time passes, we grow forgetful of what has been. We work hard maintaining our position in this moment - as if we will be remembered as a great man or woman for just being who we are today. We are always fighting the passage of time, so much so that we forget to enjoy what little time we have left in this world.
