Happiness is the primary goal of human existence.

About This Quote

Happiness is the primary goal of human existence. "Happiness" is derived from the Greek word "happeousness." Happiness is often equated with Eudaimonia, or the state of spiritual well-being that the Greeks believed was the purpose of human life. To be happy is to be fully satisfied, fulfilled, and content. It's an all-encompassing state of contentment that allows us to live our lives to their fullest potential.

The question, however, is whether our lives are truly lived to their fullest potential. We all know that we're not happy when we're in a bad mood, when we're depressed , or when we're stressed out. And we know that when we're in a good mood or when things are going well in our lives that we're happier than ever before.

The question, then, is how to keep that happiness going for as long as possible? What keeps us from being sad and depressed all the time?
