Well, ’ you may ask, ‘how may I know when I am in love?’. George Q. Morris [who later became a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, gave this reply]: ‘My mother once said that if you meet a girl in whose presence you feel a desire to achieve, who inspires you to do your best, and to make the most of yourself, such a young woman is worthy of your love and is awakening love in your heart. . About This Quote

In the book ‘Recollections of a Mormon Girlhood’, by Eunice V. Smith, she describes an experience she had when her husband returned from a mission and told her that he had found someone he wanted to marry. He decided that he would ask this woman out and if she accepted, then it would be a done deal. They told their parents and they were very excited about the news.

The young man went to meet this woman and fell in love with her instantly. He was so taken by her beauty and grace that he didn't think he could live without her. So the young man asked his father for permission to marry this woman and his father said ‘yes’ to his wishes.

When she met the young man, she fell in love with him immediately and they both knew that this was what they both wanted in life. They decided that they would get married in a month's time and then after their honeymoon they would start planning their future together. One month later ‘the mother of Eunice V. Smith arrived at the Smith's to give her blessing on the marriage of Eunice and John [Smith].

The Smiths were expecting a friend, but when they opened the door, there stood their daughter in a beautiful white gown standing on tip-toe with two other girls in white gowns behind her holding long white fans in one hand, while she held another fan out toward the young man waiting for her at the doorway… After being introduced to each other by their parents, they were married by Elder David B. Brighan on April 12th 1885, at the home of Elder Thurman Wilkins' mother of Woodruff County, Utah." From what I have read about George Q Morris I have come to understand that was how he felt about his wife Jane… And I can't help but wonder if that is how you feel about your wife?
