Perfection is the lowest standard out there because it is unattainable. Be the best you can but don’t try to be someone you were not born to be.

About This Quote

This quote is an interesting one. Do we strive to be perfect? I, for one, do not. Our ideals of perfection are so high that we can’t even come close to reaching them. We all have things we wish we could do better and things we wish they would change about our appearance or behavior.

In most cases, however, these things don’t actually detract from who we are as a person. When we compare ourselves to others and how they look or behave, we become jealous and insecure. This causes us pain in our relationships and in ourselves.

The best way to deal with these insecurities is to focus on the fact that no one is perfect. It is when we put people on pedestals that they can fall from, but when we accept them for who they are, they remain standing strong in their own light. We all deserve acceptance and love from others and from ourselves, but if we try to be perfect, none of us will receive it.
