Anger has great strength, but no brains. Greed has a great appetite, but no heart. Pride has a great spirit, but no soul.

About This Quote

The above quote is a mix of two famous quotes. The first one is from the movie "The Seven Samurai" directed by Akira Kurosawa, in which a samurai says: "Anger has great strength, but no brains. Greed has a great appetite, but no heart. Pride has a great spirit, but no soul." The second quote is from poet William Shakespeare's play "Julius Caesar." In this play, comedian Mark Antony is talking to the crowd about his ancestors.

He says: "Gentlemen, I am proud of my ancestors. I am proud that they were once pirates and cut-throats, murderers and liars. I will not have them turned into paupers...

I have no reason to be angry with my ancestors... they were better than I am... But they lost the battle." This is a very inspiring quote for many people.
