I love myself totally, completely, and unconditionally. This is a very popular one. I have never understood the appeal of this statement. It seems so bland and so empty to me. The phrasing suggests that you are saying something you think other people want to hear but don’t really want to hear in fact it sounds like a sort of mantra or a prayer in some respects.

It also implies that you are in a relationship with yourself and there is an imbalance in it. Whilst we all love ourselves in some ways we all struggle with self-love and self-acceptance to varying degrees. Yet the idea that you can love yourself totally, completely, and unconditionally seems like such a simple notion that such a small amount of language (and I mean such a small amount because compared with other things it is not even worth discussing) should be sufficient to convey the idea completely and without vagueness at all.
