Just pick a goal and stick to it―no big complicated secret. You can do anything if you always, always work on it. This is the most common quote sent to me by my followers on my twitter account. I like to think of  the purpose of this quote as life lessons that are easily applicable to the real world. It's pretty simple, you either pick a goal or you don't.

If you don't, then you stay stuck in whatever is holding you back from actualizing your dreams. If your goal is something easy like making more money than your boss, then no worries, money comes through with little effort after all. If your goal is something more complex like getting into the best college, then you need to work for it.

It takes hard work and dedication to achieve success in life just like any other thing in life.
