About This Quote

The first time I read the quote, I wasn’t sure what it meant. The second time, I read it again and was able to grasp the meaning. The first time, I thought it was referring to the color black. But now, after reading it again I’m not so sure.

It makes sense to me that he would refer to dark as “darkness” instead of using the color black. He has experienced the darkness, but he still says he is “one of those who walk the morning.” That line makes me think that he is referring to his attitude towards life. He isn’t going to give up on his dream of becoming a great leader, no matter how hard things get or how long it takes him to achieve his goals.
