Realize this — your anger with God does not drive a wedge between you and Him. It is your silence that drives the wedge. - Prodigal Life

About This Quote

There are many people who are angry at God because of His love for them. They are angry over the choices they have made in life, the mistakes they have made, and the people they have hurt. They are angry when they do not receive the things that they want, or when things that they have wished for do not come to pass. Even when life is giving them everything that they have wished for, some people are still angry with God because of their past sins. What these people do not realize is that their anger does not drive a wedge between God and them.

It is their silence that drives the wedge. Their anger is an outward expression of how they are feeling inside, but it is only making things worse. When you are angry with someone, you can say what you want to say to make sure that person knows exactly what you think about him or her.

However, when you are silent with someone who has caused you pain in life, the anger inside will continue to grow until it explodes inside of you in some way or another.
