Sri AurobindoMy God is love and sweetly suffers all.
About This Quote
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. He then created man as a special being, but without a heart. He then gave man a heart that was to love not only God but also all of His creations. God gave man a heart so that man could love the way God loves, deeply and passionately.
However, this was a grave mistake. Man misused his heart and fell into selfishness, blindness and greed. As a result, he became incapable of loving anyone else as much as he loved himself.
If he had been able to love others as God loved them, there would have been no need for death.
