I have always considered "Pascal's Wager" a questionable bet to place, since any God worth believing in would prefer an honest agnostic to a calculating hypocrite.

Alan M. Dershowitz
About This Quote

The "Pascal's Wager" is a reason people who are not sure whether or not Gods exists still believe in them. Pascal's Wager is the argument that says that you should believe in God if you are truly unsure of his existence, but if he does exist he will definitely reward you for your faith. The "Pascal's Wager" leads to an unjust conclusion because it disregards all evidence to the contrary. Pascal assumed that he could prove God existed, but this was a false assumption. This assumption leads atheists to believe Pascal's Wager is still valid because it makes the best case possible for their beliefs.
