A young girl named Elizabeth R. was married off to an old man named Mr. Darcy at the age of seventeen in the year 1813. When the wedding day came, her mother left her in Mr.
Darcy’s care. Mr. Darcy was not kind to the bride at all.
He kept her locked up in his room most of the time or he would go to town, leaving Elizabeth there with only one maid for company. Elizabeth fell in love with Mr. Darcy’s nephew, who was also named Mr. Darcy and ended up marrying him at the age of twenty-five.
She had two children by him and died while giving birth to her third child. She chose to go back and redeem herself and save the man she loved from dying alone and unloved by his nephew and family because she chose hope over all else:
