In this quote, the speaker is making the point that all the crazy things people believe in are real if enough people believe it. In other words, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know that astrology is nonsense. Anyone can believe anything if enough people do. To reiterate, the speaker was not saying that there is a cosmic law that will punish you for believing a false belief. He was saying that people who hold these beliefs will suffer no negative consequences whatsoever if they are wrong.
