The quote above is the one that I will be using in this post to demonstrate how important it is to know yourself in order for you to be able to become who you are meant to be. The need for the subconscious mind is to keep us in touch with our natural instincts. If we are not aware of our true identity, then we are playing games with ourselves and not acting in the way that will bring us closer to our true potential. Being unaware of who we are means that we live our lives thoughtlessly, without any real connection with our true authentic selves. We do this because we don’t know who we really are, and so we go about living our lives based on what other people tell us instead of living by our internal guidance system.
