About This Quote

The verse above is a call to arms. The word “command” is taken from the Greek word "archaios" meaning "to lead by authority." It refers to Moses commanding the Israelites to go into the Promised Land. It also refers to Jesus commanding his disciples to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” If we are following Jesus, we are called to be strong, to be courageous, and not afraid. Our faith must give us strength in the midst of difficulties and disheartening circumstances. Staying strong allows us to overcome these obstacles.
