True Martial Arts is universal, simple and practical. Anything else is too complex to be used in combat. In the Muay Thai of Thailand, there are not a lot of techniques that seem very complicated. This doesn't mean that they do not have a lot of power though.

In fact, it is just the opposite. If you think about it, there are simply not a lot of techniques in Muay Thai. Instead, there are many different combinations of the same basic techniques (kicks and punches) with different applications and uses (feet and hands).

It is this simplicity that make the art beautiful and strong.
