The quote above is from the Nobel Peace prize winner, Dr. Albert Schwebel, who was awarded the Nobel Peace prize in 1952 for his role in negotiating peace between Japan and the Soviet Union. He was the first German Jew to be awarded this honor. Interestingly, Schwebel was not Jewish but became a religious Jew after meeting Rabbi Norman Bentwich, who is credited with introducing him to Judaism.

Schwebel married a Jewish woman, Stella Adler, who converted him to Judaism. He joined the Reform Jewish movement after this conversion.
