When you have a job that is so demanding and so time consuming, it is easy to forget about the other jobs you have to do. Like all humans, my brain naturally will not be able to focus on three things at once. In my case, I am a software developer by day, a writer by night, and a maintainer of various types of computer technology by all other times. My mind is constantly going back and forth between the different tasks I have to perform.

This causes problems for me as a person, because if I am writing code then my mind will go back to the tasks I need to complete in order for me to be able to continue with my coding. On top of this, when my mind goes back and forth from one thing to another there are certain things that I need to keep track of, such as what happened last week with my field systems or how many emails I sent out this month for the support group email list I created. My wife handles most of these details for me and that is great because she still has plenty of time for her own work and she can remember what needs doing. However, it also means that she does not get as much done as she would like either. Because I am constantly distracted by everything else going on in my life and because there are so many details that need attending too, my wife must hire new field systems maintainers so that she can keep up with all of the extra work needed by me.
