Can anyone name a president who really had the citizens in mind during the majority of his decisions in office? None of them did, and the current ones don’t either. It’s all about power, keeping power, and dishing out power to those who throw the most money at them. Charlie Donlea
About This Quote

The current president of the United States of America, Mr. Donald Trump, has recently been in the news a lot. Much of the media has made a big issue about how different his administration is from all the previous ones. Trump is a man who seems to have a very clear agenda and he is going about it with little regard for those who may disagree with him.

It seems that most people see this as a controversial subject and one that they don’t like to speak about, but it’s not really that different from what most people think of most presidents. I think the biggest problem with almost every president is their tendency to make decisions and do things that they believe will benefit them and their party, and not necessarily what is best for the country as a whole. The only real exception to this rule is President Abraham Lincoln who was able to inspire people and lead them through some very difficult times. You may think you know what you would do if you were in charge of the country, but what is always surprising is how few of those decisions actually work out as planned. The best example for me would be President Bush claiming that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq when they weren’t really there at all.

He was able to convince people that Saddam Hussein had weapons and turned many against him and the war started on false pretenses. But back to President Trump: he has been making a lot of decisions lately that seem to be beneficial for himself and detrimental to the rest of us. For example, he wants to build a wall along our southern border with Mexico which will cost us billions upon billions of dollars that we don’t have while doing nothing for our safety or security. Not only that, but he wants to bring in more immigrants who will likely be criminals while not allowing any other immigrants in who want to contribute.

And he also wants to raise taxes on nearly everyone while giving tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans while cutting programs for poor children so they can go hungry or live in bad housing conditions because there isn't enough money for them or their families... You just need to keep looking!” - Unknown
