You don't build a family by tearing down another one.

About This Quote

I know that I keep throwing my family into the deep end, but it’s just because I love them so much. I have no other choice. In order to be a good parent, you must first be a good friend.Parenting does not mean smothering your children with hugs and kisses. It is a lot more than that.

It is about being there for your children while teaching them how to be strong and independent adults. You have to teach them how to be kind and generous-the exact opposite of what they grew up with. You have to fight for what you believe in, even if you’re alone at the time.

You can’t parent without being a friend. There are no “winners” in raising a child, only “doers” who will do what they can to make their child happy.
