Prayer is a mighty ministry that any believer can have–anywhere, anytime, and in any circumstance.

About This Quote

Prayer is more than just words that are said out of love. Prayer is a mighty ministry that any believer can have—anywhere, anytime, and in any circumstance. It is like the story of the widow who lived on top of a hill. One day she came to church and saw Jesus walking on the beach below. She ran down the hill and threw herself at his feet asking him to heal her daughter.

Jesus told her to go home and tell her daughter that he was there to heal her if she had faith enough to believe him. The girl said she would do it but first had to ask her father if she could go with Jesus. Her father said “You are not going anywhere with anyone” so the girl went home crying.

The next day, her father got up early to leave for work but was delayed by another family member who would not let him leave until they had finished talking about some business matter. When he finally arrived at work he found his daughter already at the gates waiting for him. He asked her how she was doing and the girl replied that now she was feeling better since she had prayed with Jesus on the beach that morning!
