I want home educators to look beyond the lesson plans, curriculum, and grades to see the abundant blessings. My desire is for parents to enjoy the journey rather than focus on the destination. When you begin to embrace the journey- TRULY embrace the journey- the joy of homeschooling will be absolutely A.MA.ZING. You will begin to see the much larger picture and God's work in your homeschool day more than you ever have before. . Tamara L. Chilver
About This Quote

Home educators are often discouraged by the apparent lack of outcome and outcome data in homeschooling. One of the main reasons is that we don’t see or experience the outcome. We can’t even see the outcome because we don’t live the outcome. We live in a world where we measure and calculate our worth and value based on our performance.

This is not the way God made us to live, but many people have been taught that it is how we should live. Many people want us to strive for the "right" outcome as they would for sports teams. They want us to be able to say "we won this time." When we learn to embrace the journey, however, we begin to see that there are no right answers or right times or right ways to get there. There are just God's ways, His timing, His choices, His truth, His love.

The journey is not an endpoint, it is a path with no destination, because God's creation has no end. The journey is full of joy and beauty because there IS no destination. Home education does not have an end point or a finish line or x number of years until graduation.

What it does have are so many blessings along the way, so many opportunities for our children to grow in their knowledge of God's Word and in their relationship with Him.
