While it is true that you can’t see your character, it is also true that your character shows up in the way you act. People who are more concerned about their outward appearance than with their inner beauty are less likely to be able to understand what true beauty is. They are likely to focus on superficial things that are important to look at first, but not important enough to impact the core of their being.
