A good crowd had formed along the sidewalk and the concrete ledge that bordered Louis Armstrong Park. The anticipation was dizzying... New Orleans had the big-boy parades and [Jackson & Billy] couldn't wait to attend a second line...

About This Quote

A big parades are fun to watch, but when you are in the crowd being part of the celebration it is an even better experience. I guess the anticipation is what makes it feel like a good parade. The crowd was feeling the same way about Jackson & Billy's second line. No one was sure if they were going to attend the second line or not.

Then, after everyone had made up their mind about whether or not they would be there or not, they all changed their minds and decided to be there instead. Of course, once they were all there they loved it, but it felt like their decision was right until everyone else changed their minds again.
