A digital sound sample in angry rap doesn't correspond to the graffiti but the wall.

About This Quote

When you search for an image of a graffiti on the Internet, you will often see a link that leads to a digital sound file. The digital sound file will typically be accompanied by the message, “This is not the original sound. This is actually what was heard when the graffiti was first sprayed.” This type of message is often used to illustrate the difference between the original event and the recorded version. For example, if you had recorded someone hitting you with a baseball bat, you could then play this recording of the sound of the bat hitting your head, and people would perceive that as an audio reenactment of what had happened.

This confusion illustrates how people expect more from graffiti than they should. There is nothing particularly sinister about graffiti, but society has built up an expectation on it that causes people to misinterpret it on first glance.
