On one hand the eternal attraction of man towards femininity (cf. Gn. 2:23) frees in him-or perhaps it should free-a gamut of spiritual-corporal desires of an especially personal and "sharing" nature (cf. analysis of the "beginning"), to which a proportionate pyramid of values corresponds. On the other hand, "lust" limits this gamut, obscuring the pyramid of values that marks the perennial attraction of male and female. John Paul II
About This Quote

This quote says that men are attracted to women for their femininity and women are attracted to men because of their masculinity. This quote also illustrates the so called "pyramid of values" which is an example of society's attempt to classify how people should act. There is a pyramid in which the lowest level is at the top and the lowest person is at the top. The lowest person is the one who wants to be at the top and would do anything to climb up there.

The next person would be that same person but this time, she or he would want the second level. This person would want to be at the second level but will not do anything to get up there. The third person would want to be at the third level but will not do anything to get up there.

The fourth person will want to be at the fourth level but will not do anything to get up there. The fifth person will want to be at the fifth level but will not do anything to get up there. Now, if you were at this pyramid, what would you think? What if I told you that there are places where people are truly happy? If you are willing, stop reading this book for a while and go find out what they are.

You'll thank me later!
