There is one thing more exasperating than a wife who can cook and won't, and that's a wife who can't cook and will.

Robert Frost
About This Quote

Some people always seem to be at their best when they are making other people happy. They always know just what to say or do to make someone else feel good. For example, if you were sick and your spouse came home with soup, they would know exactly what to do to make you feel better without actually helping you get better. They would not be able to give you the cure for whatever was bothering you or help you in any way if they were not so good at helping others feel better. This is why the idea of someone who cannot cook but will will upset their spouse so much.
