The left is a political faction that supports socialism and the redistribution of wealth. They believe that the rich are rich because they are evil, greedy and deserve to be punished for their misdeeds. They have a tendency to find any excuse to punish someone who is not poor. The rich often hear the criticism leveled against them by the left and they can begin to feel guilty about their wealth.

That's when they start talking with the left about how evil and greedy they are, and how much pain and suffering they have caused. They say they have a responsibility to pay back society for what they have done by taking from those who have been successful and giving it to those who have been impoverished. The rich can be persuaded to give away as much as ten percent of their wealth so that the poor can receive more than one third of what they had before. The left will exploit this guilt for all it's worth, persuading them that since they once were priests, now is their time to become leftists.
