The pain of the flesh is naught to that of the heart

Jacqueline Carey
About This Quote

The pain of the flesh is naught to that of the heart. The human body is a physical thing, but the heart is the pump that keeps blood flowing through our bodies and keeps us alive. We can endure physical pain, but we cannot endure emotional pain. Physical pain, such as a bruise or a fracture, can heal and disappear.

But emotional pain doesn’t heal and it never goes away. If we want to survive and thrive we must face these emotions head on and handle them with strength and courage so we can grow stronger and be able to overcome them.
