The dictionary defines love as “a keen, warm affection for another person.” This is a popular definition for two reasons: (1) it’s short and sweet and (2) it gives a broad view of what love is. Short and sweet doesn’t mean weak though. Love is strong. It’s caring and protective and warm.
Love can be funny and sweet at the same time, just like hugs can be both physical and emotional at once. Love can be gentle and nurturing or passionate and romantic.
