Thousands of years ago--in times we are fond of calling "primitive" (since this renders us "modern" without having to exert ourselves further to earn this qualification)...

About This Quote

Thousands of years ago... This is one of those phrases that trips off my tongue, but I cannot determine what it means. I would like to think that thousands of years ago our ancestors had more in common with us than they did with their distant ancestors. I know that the world is changing all the time, but this phrase just makes me wonder how much has changed in the past few thousand years.
