We do not teach history, we learn it, and we teach it. In other words, history is a learning experience. It's not something that is learned from a book or from a teacher. And, it's more of a learning experience than an actual lesson.
History is taught by our experiences and how we observe the world around us. When we watch a movie that depicts a past event, we will notice that there are no actual historical facts that are being depicted in the film. We will notice that what is being portrayed in the film isn't exactly what happened in reality.
The same goes for the way history is taught in school. History is not taught by teachers who have been reading from books, but rather from the experiences of the teachers themselves who have been teaching from their own personal experiences.
