John GreenChuck Parson did not participate in organized sports, because to do so would distract from his larger goal of his life: to one day be convicted of murder
About This Quote
Chuck Parson didn’t play sports because he thought it would distract him from his goal. As the story goes, Chuck Parson was a young man who had lost his father, and was looking for answers. He read about the death of Dale Earnhardt, and wanted to find out what happened to his father. He began to research conspiracy theories on the Internet.
He believed that the state of Florida had killed his father, and that NASCAR was covering up the truth. On February 17th, 1996, Chuck Parson shot two people in the face with a .44 Magnum pistol, then fled the scene in his mother’s car. The State of Florida eventually brought charges against him.
However, Parson was never convicted of killing anyone. Three years later, he died of cancer at the age of 39.
