Unsettling are the days in which everyone is an expert.

About This Quote

In a world full of experts, it is difficult to find one who does not have something to contribute. In an era when everyone knows more than us, we have to have a plan and stick with it. The experts give us options and we can choose to become an expert in that area. Or, we can ignore their expertise and try to move forward with our own ideas.

Either way, we end up awakening to the truth that experts do not possess all the answers. Because experts are experts in their field, they make decisions based on facts and data at hand. However, facts and data change over time and expert opinions also vary from person to person.

For example, one expert might say that “Eating organic foods is healthier for you” while another expert says the same thing about the same food but in a different order: “Eating organic foods will be healthier for you if you drink them in your smoothie and if you eat them in your salad.”
