Tina Reber was born in San Diego, California, and grew up in the desert Southwest. She has written four popular biographies of women who have shaped our culture: Mabel Dodge Luhan (2004), Alma Reed (2005), Hattie Carnegie (2007), and Maria Montessori (2010). Tina is also the author of two works of fiction: Cactus Flower (2012), about a mother struggling to raise her child during the Depression; and The Scent of Rain (2013), an historical novel set in 1930s Paris.
