Born in Oklahoma, Tim Conway graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1951 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Drama. After working as a commercial artist for a few years, he moved to Los Angeles, California, where he joined Garry Moore's comedy team. In 1953 he made his television debut on "The Red Skelton Show."
