Terry Wogan is an Irish broadcaster, best known for his work on BBC Radio 2. He has worked there since 1982 and presented the weekday lunchtime show, the breakfast show and the drive time show. He also presented two series of BBC One's Terry and June Show in 2005 and 2006. Until 2009 he was one of the presenters on BBC One's children's entertainment show Blue Peter, but left after his health deteriorated.
Terry has won many awards throughout his career, including a British Academy Television Award, three Royal Television Society awards, two American Radio Awards, two National Television Awards, three American Music Awards, a Grammy Award, an Emmy Award and an Ivor Novello Award for Blue Peter.
He was knighted in the 2010 New Year Honours List for services to broadcasting
