Tadao Ando is an architect. His works include the Newark Museum in New Jersey, the Art Institute of Chicago, the National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta, and museums in other cities. Named winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize and the Japan Art Academy's Praemium Imperiale (2010), Ando has received design awards from the American Institute of Architects and an honorary doctorate from Yale University.
