Susan Abigail Sarandon (born January 4, 1946) is an American actress. She is an Academy Award nominee, when she was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in the 1983 film The Witches of Eastwick. Sarandon has also received two Emmy Awards, seven Golden Globe Award nominations, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, and five Cannes Film Festival Award nominations for her work on the television series Grace of Monaco and the miniseries The Starter Wife.
