A pioneer in the field of cognitive neuroscience, Stanislas Dehaene is a member of the French Academy of Sciences and a professor of cognitive neuroscience at the Collège de France. He directs the CNRS research unit on consciousness at the Institut Pasteur, Paris. He is a member of the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation and a recipient of numerous awards, including the German Prize for Neuroscience.
