Somerset McCoy is a world-renowned motivational speaker, award-winning author, and radio personality. A former three-sport athlete at the University of Connecticut, McCoy was the first African American quarterback in UCONN history to lead his team to a bowl game. As a graduate student athlete at the University of Connecticut, McCoy was the starting quarterback for the Huskies for their final 10 games. He was named All-Big East three times and All-American in 1992
After graduating from UCONN, McCoy played professionally with the Barcelona Dragons of NFL Europe for two years. He is also author of two books: "Rise Up And Win" and "The Black Book of Secrets." His new book, "The Life You've Always Wanted," will be released in May 2011.
