He is best known for his portrayal of FBI Agent Tim McGrath in the television series Murder She Wrote and as Billy Halleck in the film adaptation of Lord of the Flies. Ulrich also had recurring roles on Sabrina: The Teenage Witch and Becker as well as a starring role in the short-lived sitcom 8 Simple Rules.
