Sidney Knight is the author of over 50 books. He began his career at age 14 as a newspaper feature writer for small towns in Texas. He earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of North Texas. Upon graduation, he went to work full-time at his hometown paper, The Valley Morning Star, where he covered local governmental issues and human interest stories. Knight worked with the Valley Morning Star until 1983 when he was diagnosed with cancer. He died at age 49.
His widow, Nancy Knight, continued his legacy by publishing an anthology of their love letters entitled For Me It Was Love (Arbor House Publishing).
