Shouko Akira is a Japanese adult manga artist. She was named one of the top 100 most popular artists in Japan by the Asahi Shimbun newspaper in 2006. Akira was born in Kanagawa Prefecture. Her first work was "Moete mo Yume" ("To be or not to be") for Enix's free monthly magazine "Manga-Ran" in 2002.
